Tips to prepare JEE 2020 exam along with your CBSE.

The 12th class board exams start in the month of March leaving very little time for the JEE Main exam which is generally conducted in January and April. You cannot take board exams lightly since they are the cornerstone for the remainder of your career but at the same time, you also cannot afford to ignore JEE 2020 preparation. For a JEE aspirant, this presents a big issue – how to score high in boards and JEE Main at the same time. Well, with efforts and planning you can definitely maintain the right balance between 12th boards and JEE preparation. Here are a few tips to prepare for JEE Main 2020 along with 12th board exams.

  • Cram the syllabus thoroughly: You must know that there is a very fine line between the syllabus of board exams and JEE Main. The latter demands in-depth knowledge of concepts. You should understand that JEE 2020 preparation requires rigorous hard work as the competition is for the limited seats across the prestigious IITs.
  • Firstly focus on class 12 boards: A majority of the aspirants think that the syllabus for both the exams is the same and therefore they tend to prepare more for JEE more CBSE. If you do so, you will neither be able to score well in boards nor in the JEE.

CBSE asks basic questions, so preparing for boards will clarify your concepts in a brilliant way. Focus on the NCERT Books first and once this is done, you should move towards JEE preparation.

  • JEE mock tests are very important: When your board exams for class 12th are near, you can opt for JEE mock tests. This is a good strategy to remain in touch with your JEE preparation. You can take one or two mock tests when there is a gap of several days between exams. This will help you perform exceedingly well in the board exams as well as JEE Main 2020. With roughly three months left for JEE Mains 2020, make sure that you give at least 15 mock tests in this period of time.

Devote each Sunday for the mock test, score analysis and performance analysis. This will help you to be more familiar with the exam.

  • Revise thoroughly: Revision is the key to scoring good marks in any exam. In JEE, you should remember the formula so that you don’t miss the easy questions. There are certain concepts that should be learned by heart and revising them thoroughly can help you fetch easy marks.

If you have a time constraint then you can prioritize the chapters with maximum marks in JEE Main 2020 and do not forget to revise them.

  • Incorporate Class 11th Syllabus in your Preparation: As JEE Main syllabus comprises both class 11 and class 12 syllabus, it is essential to revise the topics that you have covered in class 11. Start revising topics that you were good at as they will take less time and will allow you to prepare for board exams as well. Devote at least two days of your week to prepare for topics that you studied in class 11. This way you will be able to cover the syllabus for both JEE Main and Class 12 Board exams.
  • Combine answer writing with problem-solving: For every chapter of class XII that you finish, go through the past year questions asked from them on boards. Attempt them in the same manner as you will do in the board examination. This will help you a lot while actually attempting the questions in exams. Once done, move on to JEE problems and do speed drills like trying to attempt 30 questions in 20 minutes.

So, balancing both JEE 2020 and class 12th board exam preparation is not as hard as it seems. It is all about dedication, smart work and being consistent. What is your strategy to balance JEE Main 2020 and board preparation simultaneously? Let us know in the comment box.

Mind relaxing tips for candidates who are appearing for CBSE…

Board Exams! board exams had never been so easy for any students. There was a whole lot of tensions among the students just before the exam. Only a few students are excited just before their board exam commences, especially those who are confident of doing well in their exams.

Also, peer pressure is there among the students. Most of the students pressurize the students to do well in their board exams. And so the candidate is forced to study the whole day under the influence of his/her parents. Continuing this every day till the day before the exam commences might affect the mental state of the candidates. So below are the mind relaxing techniques for candidates who will be appearing for the CBSE Board exams. They are as follows:-

  • Take deep long breaths– After you get up in the morning, go to the washroom. After coming from the washroom, start taking long deep breaths. Continue this process for at least 15 minutes.
  • Meditate– This is also yet another simple technique for developing an intense focus on your studies. Meditate on anything. Anything means any object which creates interest among you. So start meditating on it for a minimum of 30 minutes.
  • Exercise– Now exercises can be done in any form. Dancing, Walking, Cycling, Jogging, Skipping, Swimming, Playing football, etc. Do that exercise which you are comfortable with and practice it daily for a minimum of 20 minutes.
  • Hobbies- Spend one hour daily on your hobbies. These hobbies could be anything – Singing, Dancing, Drawing, Painting, Video editing, Graphic designing, Clay making, Photoshoots for those interested in Photography, Cooking, Creating paperwork, stitching, writing-this could be anything writing for a blog, client, doing email marketing, Doing book review, Reading magazines or newspapers whichever is your field of interests. Performing your hobbies once in a day will relax you up to some extent. And you will see that when you immediately start studying after performing your hobbies, then you can remember better your studying ingredients.
  • Spend fewer hours for studying- Just before the exam commences, there is no use of studying for late nights. Just avoid these and study lesser hours especially it is good to study in the morning. Because during the morning we are loaded with much more energy as compared tonight. Though there are some students who can study for long hours during night time. But if there are some students who can study both morning and night frequently, for them I would suggest it is better to study daytime as compared to the night time. Because the board exams are usually held during the morning phase, so if a student remains active during the morning phase just before the exam, then it might be fruitful for him or her to perform better during the exams.

Also try to relax, feel free 15 days before the exam. Keep yourself calm, try to spend your leisure time watching comedy shows. Avoid junk foods. And follow the above tips. It really works!FacebookWhatsAppLinkedInShare
